PAINted

PAINted - is a reflection on the war in Ukraine. The only thing that made sense to me in those first months was documenting the daily news, without fiction or exaggeration. Previous series have lost their meaning. Nova - gave relief, dulled the pain, at least for a certain time. Sometimes I cried while working, sometimes I sat in a stupor for several hours in front of the easel. Often the paintings spoke to me, and I wrote down their phrases on canvases. But it happened that they were silent - then it became sadder.

Gradually, the series turned into a story about me and my experience. For now, I consider it complete. It fully fulfilled its function.
